1. General Overview
At Bolt Rent A Car, we aim to deliver reliable, professional, and convenient vehicle rental services for every customer. This Reservation Policy outlines the terms that apply to all reservations made prior to vehicle pickup, including deposits, documentation, modifications, and cancellations.
By confirming a reservation, customers agree to comply with the terms outlined in this policy.
2. Reservation Requirements
To secure a vehicle reservation, the following conditions must be met:

The renter must be 25 years of age or older.

A valid driver’s license and a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express) are required at booking and at pickup.

The name on the credit card must match the name on the driver’s license.
-
A security deposit ranging from $500 to $1,200 (depending on vehicle class) will be held on the renter’s credit card at the time of pickup and released within 24–72 hours after the vehicle is returned in good condition.
3. Fast Track Form
To ensure a smooth pickup experience, all customers must complete the Fast Track Form before collecting their vehicle.

Failure to complete the form prior to pickup may result in cancellation of the reservation.

Submitting fraudulent, altered, or unverifiable documents will result in immediate cancellation and forfeiture of any prepaid amount.
4. Additional Drivers

All additional drivers must be listed on the rental agreement.
-
A fee of $4.50 per additional driver per day applies.
-
Vehicles driven by unlisted drivers are not covered under any waiver or protection plan, and the renter will be fully liable for any resulting damage or loss.
5. Reservation Confirmation
-
A reservation is confirmed only once Bolt Rent A Car issues a confirmation email or booking reference number.

Unconfirmed or incomplete bookings may be automatically cancelled.
6. Deposits & Payments
-
A credit card pre-authorization or deposit may be required at the time of booking to hold the reservation.
-
The security deposit is processed at vehicle pickup and returned once the vehicle is inspected and all rental conditions are satisfied.
-
Fuel Policy: The vehicle must be returned at the same fuel level as received. Missing fuel will be charged at $10.00 per gallon, based on company system-generated rates.
7. Vehicle Restrictions

Vehicles are not permitted on beaches. Violation of this policy will result in an immediate $500 fee for cleaning and/or undercarriage repair.

All vehicles are non-smoking. Any evidence of smoking will incur a $125 cleaning charge.

No-Speeding Policy: Vehicles exceeding 100 km/h will trigger an internal alert.

After two warnings, Bolt Rent A Car reserves the right to repossess the vehicle and refund only the unused rental days.

8. Late Returns
-
Returns made more than two (2) hours after the scheduled return time will be charged an additional full day’s rental rate, plus applicable taxes and fees.
9. Roadside Assistance
-
Roadside assistance is available between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
-
Calls made outside of these hours will incur an $80 after-hours service fee.
10. Reservation Transfers
At times of high demand or full fleet capacity, Bolt Rent A Car may, at its discretion, transfer a confirmed reservation to one of our trusted partner or sister companies to ensure the renter receives a comparable vehicle.

The renter will be notified in advance of any transfer.

The partner company will honor the same vehicle class, rate, and rental period as originally booked, subject to availability.

By confirming a reservation, the renter acknowledges and agrees that Bolt Rent A Car reserves the right to facilitate such transfers when necessary to fulfill the booking.
11. Cancellation & Refund Policy
a. Free Cancellation Period

Cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled pickup time are fully refundable (100%).
b. Cancellation Within 7 Days
-
Cancellations made less than 7 days but more than 48 hours before pickup will be refunded minus a 20% administrative fee.
c. Last-Minute Cancellations (Within 48 Hours)
-
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup time are non-refundable.
-
No-shows (failure to arrive without notice) are also non-refundable.
d. Reservation Modifications
-
Date changes may be permitted once, if requested at least 72 hours prior to pickup and subject to vehicle availability.

Rate adjustments may apply based on season and demand.
e. Early Returns
-
No refunds are issued for early vehicle returns once the rental period has begun.
f. Special Considerations
-
Exceptions may be made for extreme weather, medical emergencies, or flight cancellations, at Bolt Rent A Car’s discretion. Supporting documentation is required.
